Thank you for visiting Pork Curry. This is the famous recipe that was the favorite of the Venetians who were the heads of the spice trade in the Renaissance. Ingredients


2 cups of cooked Pork cut into bite size pieces
2 pkgs. of Curry sauce*
2 sticks of butter
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. onion powder
1 tsp. sugar
2 tsp. paprika
2-3 tsp. Curry powder (if needed)
1-1/2 cup Raisins and scissored prunes

Directions

Make a Curry sauce according to pkg. Directions or follow the recipe below. If your store does not have a curry sauce mix, buy a white sauce mix and add Curry powder

Mix in raisins and scissored prunes

Put Pork in a serving dish, add sauce and decorate with paprika and/or pieces of canned apricots, mushrooms or peaches as you desire. Preheat and serve.

*Recipe for Curry sauce from scratch.

Melt 5 tbsp. butter in a double boiler. Add 6 tbsp. Flour. Heat and stir together into a roux.

Slowly add 2 cups of milk stirring continually. Add salt and pepper to taste and 1/2 tsp. Garlic and Onion powder, raisins and prunes and 2-3 tbsp. Curry Powder.
