Chefs's Note: This is an adaptation of the famous French dish, Cassoulet de Strassbourg. Actually, there are three different cassoulets. This one, the Classic Cassoulet de Perigord, which is made with goose, the Cassoulet d'Auvergne which is made with lamb
Ingredients
3 cups diced Pork1 bag or four cans of Great Northern Beans1 Bratwurst Sliced1 Knockwurst Sliced1/2 Kielbasa Sliced1 can Italian Stewed Tomatoes blended on high1 pkg. Onion Soup Mix2 Onions diced1 pkg. Onion dip Mix10 baby carrots3 tbsp. Bacon fat1/2 tsp. MSGDirections
If you plan to cook a bag of beans, follow package directions. Then add the remaining ingredients.
Put all ingredients in a pot and simmer at a low heat until the pork is tender
Stir frequently and add water as needed because the beans tend to stick to the bottom of the pot
